An Environmentally Sustainable City
The City is invested in environmental efforts that help combat the threats of climate change and create a healthy, sustainable living community for residents. Through tree-planting programs, promoting sustainable infrastructure, recycling, composting, flood mitigation effort, smart wastewater management and more, the City of Norwalk is focused on environmental sustainability and resiliency efforts.
In March, 2024, the City of Norwalk released the draft of its Sustainability and Resilience Plan (SRP). The SRP serves as a roadmap that builds on the City's sustainability and climate resilience efforts while placing Norwalk on a fast track to becoming the greenest city in Conn
