City Council, Boards & Commissions

Historical Commission is an 11-member commission that designate sites and buildings acquired by the City as historic land sites and approved by the City Council. They commission is charged with the control, development, management, operations, improvement, and maintenance of historic land sites. The commission oversees four city cemeteries (Brookside, Kellogg, Mill Hill, and Pine Island), various collections and archives of the Norwalk Museum, and nine historic properties owned by the City of Norwalk.
